Historical Marker on Highway 154 in Bienville Parish
Site of the ambush of Bonnie and Clyde

Welcome To Terry's Place

Howdy Folks! My name is Terry and I love History. I look at myself as being an armchair historian. It's not a full time thing but I just like to dig. I find stories that are lost in history and bring them to life.

My main interest is local and Oklahoma history pertaining to outlaws and lawmen from before statehood to the 1930's. Also, you will see stories that I consider strange and unusual.

This website was designed and put together by a friend for the purpose of sharing this information with you. You will find links to pictures and stories of graves, gunfight locations, and historical markers on the left side of the page.

The trail that I took to research these stories took me to five different states including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Louisianna, and Kansas. Some of the people I researched include: The Dalton Gang, The Doolin Gang, through The Gangsters of the 30's like Charles Floyd, Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker just to name a few. I also conducted many interviews of people that were actually there.

So, I hope you enjoy the stories and enjoy the pictures here at Terry's Place and check back every so often for new updates. Thanks for stopping by.

This shows the news reel reporters and the officers at the location where they fired upon Bonnie and Clyde. The location of the car in the picture is where Ivy Methvin's truck was parked.
